Christmas Project - after the meeting on 01/11/05

Hallo everyone,

I am finally able to post this message. Sorry it took me a while, but I had to get used to dealing with the blogger, which in the end didn't appear to be difficult.

But here goes a quick summary of what we agreed during our first meeting on Tuesday, so we can keep ourselves organised, ‘cos there’s not much time left to The Christmas Project, which is happening on December 9th and 10th from 19.00 till 21.00.

+ Our next meeting is happening on Sunday November 6th at 14.00 in the Star & Garter.

+ Until then we are all hunting for projectors and holiday films. So if you have a friend, or friend of a friend or a neighbour who has one of the above and might be willing to make them (the film/s, or/and projector) available for the event, please talk to them about the project and ask them to get in touch with us; alternatively, we would be happy to get in touch with them.
As we discussed today it would be wise to mention that there is a possibility that some of the 8mm film might be destroyed during the event. If anyone has a film that is particularly precious, we would be able to transfer it to DV tape, which they would need to deliver to us.

Please bring to the Sunday meeting a list of projectors and/or films that you were able to gather by then. The list should have names and what is available to be lent and contact details.

+ During the Sunday meeting we will divide ourselves into small groups (no more than 2 or 3 people) and go off into the town, to talk to people living along the main streets.

I think that is all that we agreed. But please put any comments you’ve got by clicking the comment link underneath this message and typing your message in the message field which will appear on the new page.

I know there is not much time left before our meeting tomorrow in the Star, but I hope this might be helpful anyway.

See you tomorrow,
mtc (magda)

Hi,
i didn't hear about this until after your last meeting but i've been contacted by a couple of people regarding this, me and a friend who do visuals together have a large collection of both 8mm projectors and holiday films, and we would certainly be interested in helping out.
I believe Paddy has already given Ana my number? i hope thats right?
